Building a Cedar-Strip Canoe The March, 2003 issue of AMC Outdoors magazine featured an article on building cedar-strip canoes. I immediately knew I had to build one. I was getting in touch with my creative side, and this project fit the bill. I love to paddle, and I've always loved building things. On the water Two years later, with lots of support from my family and friends, it's done! It's not perfect. My craftsmanship developed during the project, and is still not what I'd like it to be. Nonetheless I had a lot of fun, learned an amazing amount, and now have a beautful canoe to show for it! A view over the bow
